We live in a world that is getting worse every day, and it seems like one cannot find a good person. Even if you find a good person, sometimes, they may help you base on a condition. If you try to be a good person, people may say, "You lack common sense." A good man may not even get appreciated for the good that he did, and he may not be happy about it, too.
The standard that the world sets does not matter at all. If you are a bible student and a disciple of Jesus Christ, you would know that Jesus Christ sets a standard for us and He commands us, "...Be ye perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect..." Matthew 5:48. Only Jesus lived a perfect life. If He came to this world and lived a perfect life, then we can achieve the same. You may say, "This is not a possible task for man." I tell you if it was not possible for you to be perfect, Jesus Christ would not have said so. That is the general standard Jesus sets for every believer. If you want to fulfill this command, you need the Holy Spirit. After all, He is the one who knows God, what He wants from us, and how He wants us to achieve it. "Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God..." 1 Corinthians 2:11. If you want to fulfill this task that does not happen accidentally, it takes conscious action by listening to the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:14 says "As many as are led by the Spirit, they are the sons of God" Let the Holy Spirit be in charge of everything that you do. From the food you eat even to the time you sleep. It is those who please God that can be a "Perfect man" Hebrews 6:1 says "Let us now go unto perfection..." Forget about your yesterday's error. Start working towards that perfection. God bless you!
